Damn.  My copying machine just died and
the cheapest replacement I can get cost $750.  But that’s OK, because
I’ve got $1,000 in the bank.  That’ll cover it.

Oh, and I need to get a newLCD projector.  Fortunately, they’re on
sale this week at Staples.  Just $650!  But that’s OK, because I’ve got
$1,000 in the bank.

Hey, and it’s time to renew my membership at the Chamber of
Commerce.  It’s a no-brainer to sign up for the $500 membership that
includes an annual meeting sponsorship that always seems to return
$2,000 in new business.  And of course I can do it, because I’ve got
$1,000 in the bank.

People with ADD can hold a lot of things in their head at the same
time, and that includes a whole lot of different ways we can spend off
a $1,000 budget.  Too bad, though, that even if we can imagine three
different ways to spend the money, only one way can really count. Enjoy
the imagination.  Choose among options.  Live in reality.
